After a much-needed win last Friday night over Smithfield-Selma High School, the 1-1 Nash Central Bulldogs will take a visit to Kenly, North Carolina to compete against the North Johnson Panthers this Thursday night.
The Bulldogs were outstanding on August 28th’s win over Smithfield-Selma. The offense lit up for 26 points in the first half, ending the game with 36 total points. The defense also did a magnificent job. The Bulldogs defense kept Smithfield-Selma from scoring for a wide majority of the first-half before allowing a touchdown.
North Johnston, on the other hand, had immense trouble scoring last Friday, ending the game with only 20 points while giving up 41 points to Rosewood. However, the Bulldogs defense will have to stay strong this Thursday due to North Johnson’s offensive potency. This was displayed in North Johnson’s season opener on August 21st against Louisburg where the Panthers put up 63 points on the scoreboard.
This game will have a special meaning behind it since it is an endowment game. Profits from the game will be placed in an endowment fund and then will be distributed between schools. So, take the trip down the road to Kenly and come support your Bulldogs while contributing to a great cause.
