Next Friday, when America reflects upon the tragic events of 9/11, Nash Central will be doing its part to commemorate those who were impacted by the events.

On the night of September 11th, 2015, Nash Central will play a home football game against Southwest Edgecombe. To honor our Bulldog military members, there will a special commemorative event and a moment of silence will also be observed during the game. In addition, the Bulldogs will have incentives to allow America’s heroes into the game at no cost. Individuals who have a military ID will receive free admission. Police officers, firefighters, and EMS responders with a badge or ID will also be admitted into the game at no cost. This will be Nash Central’s small way of showing its support and pride for the fine nation that is the United States of America.

Nash Central’s cheerleading and dance programs are also a part of this commemoration. Bulldog cheerleaders and dancers will be selling 9/11 commemorative t-shirt for $10. Wearing this t-shirt to school on September 11th will allow you to buy pre-sale tickets for $5. This same offer will not be valid on the night of September 11th.

On the football side of matters, Nash Central is coming off a hard-fought game against North Johnston.  The Bulldogs put up a resilient effort on the road on Thursday, September 3 but ended up losing 19-18. The Bulldogs are now 1-2 on the season, and this special game on September 11th will be the perfect opportunity for Nash Central to bounce back. On the other hand, the Southwest Edgecombe Cougars are 3-0 after beating South Central High School 23-7 on September 3rd.

All in all, come out to Nash Central High School next Friday night to support our Bulldogs and to honor our country.
