While Nash Central played well on Thursday night, the Bulldog were not able to defeat the Rocky Mount Gryphons.
The Bulldogs fell 24-18, but Nash Central did show signs of excellence. Sophomore defensive back and running back Bryan Smith performed especially well. Smith made plays on offense and defense. He scored a late touchdown for the Bulldogs and also came up with a forced fumble on defense. Sophomore linebacker Trevor Mills also came up with a forced fumble for the Bulldogs late in the game. On offense, Jaazvion Smith and Dominick Dixon made key catches while Sabian Davis and Quante Davis also excelled offensively.
Next week, the Bulldogs will play Fike at home and will look to bounce back after this week’s close loss.
