While Jennifer Jackson won’t be swimming for the Nash Central Bulldogs next year, the Nash Central senior will still be a Bulldog.
Jackson will remain a Bulldog as she signed her National Letter of Intent to swim with the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs on Thursday, November 12th. Gardner-Webb is a Division I program, which competes in the Big South conference. Prior to signing with Gardner-Webb, Jackson was also fielding offers from several other competitive Division I programs, such as Campbell University and the University of North Carolina at Asheville
Jackson, who holds several Nash Central and Big East records, has been one of the most distinguished and highly-acclaimed swimmers in the Big East conference since her freshman year in 2012. The future Gardner-Webb swimmer has earned Rocky Mount Telegram All-Area Player of the Year honors for three consecutive years, and she was also a 3A state runner-up in the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Essentially, Jennifer Jackson has definitely been the most accomplished swimmer in the Big East conference for the past several years, and many would even argue that she is the most gifted and talented swimmer to ever compete in the Big East conference.
Now, with the stress of her college recruitment behind her, Jackson will be able to direct full focus and attention to her senior swimming season as she hopes to cap off her illustrious Nash Central career with her most impressive season to date.
