Bulldogs Earn All-Area Honors

Recently, two Nash Central seniors, Jennifer Jackson and Josh Mullins, claimed All-Area Player of Year honors, and this definitely proves that Nash Central is home to immense talent.

Jackson earned the honor for her excellence in the pool and this is her fourth-straight All-Area Girls’ Swimmer of the Year accolade, which is certainly something to be exceptionally proud of. Since the beginning of her high school career, the Gardner-Webb signee has undeniably been the most talented and successful competitor in the Big East conference, and she competed very well in 3A state competitions. Also, Jackson has broken several Nash Central and Big East records, and she will go down in Nash Central history as one of the most skilled and accomplished athletes to compete for the Bulldogs.

Additionally, Nash Central senior guard Josh Mullins also earned All-Area Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year honors. Mullins averaged 23.6 PPG and 5.4 RPG for the Bulldogs this season while helping Nash Central conclude Big East play with a shared first-place finish. The Nash Central senior is currently undecided as to where he will continue his playing career at the collegiate level, but Mullins will unquestionably serve to be an asset to any school he chooses to attend.

In short, Jennifer Jackson and Josh Mullins are both two exceptional talents, and they have represented Nash Central in a tremendous fashion through not only their athletic success but through their academic achievements as well.
