After a distinguished season, the Nash Central girl’s soccer team will have three representatives on the Big East All-Conference team.
Sophomore forward Linzi Long and sophomore goal keeper Anna Shaye Thompson were both key to Nash Central’s success this season, and, due to this, Long and Thompson will both headline the Big East All-Conference 2nd team.
Long was especially instrumental offensively as she finished the season with 28 goals and 7 assists. Also, Thompson’s defensive prowess in the net was crucial for Nash Central’s success as she finished the season with 284 saves.
Besides this, freshman midfielder Hailey Dinota was also vital Nash Central’s season as Dinota garnered honorable mention honors.
With this being said, the fact that Nash Central’s underclassmen were the most pivotal for the Bulldogs this past season is a definite positive, and this youth could ultimately culminate into something extremely special in the future.
