On Monday, Hannah Sasser and Sara Joyner competed in the 3A regional state tournament at Wedgewood Country Club in Wilson, North Carolina. This tournament hosted 72 golfers from all over Eastern North Carolina. Sasser and Joyner both performed well on Monday, and Joyner was one of the 26 golfers who qualified to compete in the 3A state championship tournament. This competition will take place on Monday, October 26th and Tuesday, October 27th in Pinehurst, North Carolina. This will be a rigorous contest for Joyner as the Fox Fire Red golf course is one of the most challenging courses in the state of North Carolina. Hannah Sasser also deserves adulation as she missed state qualification by just one stroke. Sasser has been exceptional throughout the season, and she certainly is worthy of high recognition.
All in all, the Lady Bulldogs golfers had yet again another great showing on Monday, and there is much more to come for these golfers.
